Educational Theorists
Two theorists have stuck out to me as I am learning and developing my own educational theories and ideas. The two theorists that have resonated with me are Alfie Kohn and Spencer Kagan. Both of these theorists are very student centered and that is where I see myself headed as I develop my philosophy of teaching. However, many other theorists have ideas that draw my attention and I believe that one theorist is not enough to develop good teaching. Like the picture to the right so much of my theory of a what it means to be a teacher and to facilitate good learning is a jumble of strategies from different people, books, and experiences that form one cohesive theory of education.
